21st Century Stocks & Sectors page highlights undiscovered micro-cap companies typically low priced companies with market caps of 500 million or less in three key sectors that we believe are headed for substantial growth over the next decade: (1) Healthcare; (2) Internet and IT; and (3) energy and environmentally clean technology. Micro-cap companies typically lacks Wall Street analyst coverage, are inefficiently priced and or often thinly trading the proverbial “tree in the forest”.
Internet and IT
DigitalTown (DGTW: OTCBB)—Announced on December 6 that it negotiated a $10 Million Funding Commitment With Institutional Investor Auctus Private Equity Fund, LLC. The stock closed Tuesday at $3.10 up 148% from November 16, when we initiated coverage of the Internet, Health Care, Clean Energy sectors, and placed DGTW on our initial watch list. With the stock trading at almost 150% from its 200 day moving average the stock looks extended at these levels and it may makes sense to take some chips off the table. The financing with Auctus is another negative. The deal is structured as an equity line of credit . DGTW can sell to Auctus shares every few weeks at a discount and at a price equivalent to the weighted average of the closing bid of the 5 days following the date of notice by DGTW. Typically the investors that finance these type of deals are hedge funds that are more concerned about hedging their positions and are looking to look in profits at a fixed discount, they are not long term fundamental investors. In most instances the companies that take this kind of money are generally trading substantially lower 6-12 months because of market perception of common stock overhang.
MacroSolve Inc (MCVE: OTCBB)—Will be presenting at the LD Micro conference on Thursday December 9. The stock was up 33% Tuesday and may present a near term opportunity ahead of the conference. We are very excited about MCVE long term potential following the USPT office awarding MCVE landmark patent around the mobile apps industry that addresses mobile information collection systems across all wireless devices, including tablets, smart phones, and rugged mobile devices, regardless of carrier or hand set manufacturer. IDC is forecasting that 25 billion mobile apps sales worldwide in 2011 and the market for mobile apps is estimated to grow to 17.5 billion in 2012.
CrowdGather (CRWG: OTCBB)—Will be presenting at the LD Micro conference on Thursday December 9. The stock was up 1% Tuesday and may present a near term opportunity ahead of the conference following its recent announcement that revenues increased 697% from last year’s fiscal second quarter. The number of page views on the Companies web sites, jumped from 12 million per month to 80 million. More page views in the future equate to more revenue.
Viral Genetics, Inc (VRAL: Pink Sheets)—Announced that it has launched a subsidiary called “VG Energy, Inc.” The new entity is majority-owned by Viral Genetics and its current shareholders, and was formed to market the company’s biofuel technology. The company will be premiering on Saturday on the Wide World of Stocks to discuss the recent developments regarding VG Energy as well as the initiation of Clinical Trials at a Scott & White Cancer Treatment Center inTemple, Texas. The last time the company was on the show the stock exploded up550% in a six weeks basis, following the appearance on the show in June of 2009 on massive volume. The stock was up 15.7% following the VG Energy announcement and may present a near term opportunity ahead of the Wide World of Stocks TV show. The stock has the potential to be a lottery ticket from the current levels. 21st Century was compensated from a third to perform digital marketing services.
